W5 Activity Blog

I see myself using this blog to post things like homework or things of those sorts. Whether I will continue to use it after the class is done depends on whether I am really interested in blogging, which to be honest as of right now I am not, but things could change. As for personal learning I would rather use other people blogs for that because I’m too lazy to blog about things I find interesting also I’m not that smart or a good writer to blog competently. This class so far is the only class that blogging is this frequent, all of my other classes never required it’s students to blog.  Blogging is perfect though for freelance journalists it can be used as their gateway to bigger things like working for newspaper companies which nobody reads, or writing about celebrity & political scandals which everybody reads. Connective writing seems to involve writing in some form of media for other people to view and replay. So basically blogging.

Interesting IDT Information(Click Me)
  • The students in the department are really cool.
  • The teachers are nice & helpful
  • The wide array of classes are really cool.
  • The programs are the most interesting thing to me
    •  Dreamweaver for example was really helpful because I did a Computer Science class my Freshman year. The program we used named JGrasp was kind of old and did not really help beginner users but Dreamweaver does and gives insight on where you might have messed up.
    • Lectora is another interesting program I’ve used in IDT. I hear we might continue to use it which is not bad news. It is very simple and allows for creativity.
    • Gamesalad is pretty good but it has a lot of problems at least to me anyway.  The program tends to shut down randomly, or an unknown bug could show up and ruin your program. That happened to me last semester to the point I had to redo my project at least twice.
    • I’ve heard about Maya & Strata and its difficulty I guess I have to cross that road when I get there.
